External Integration (Conduit) Persists Last Used Monitor (7.16.0)​

  • Users want their multi-monitor layout to be consistent once set. The monitor a user selects is now persistent for external integrated launches. Note: Previously, users would have to move and resize the Vitrea AV window on every launch.​

Workflow improvements in transferring user presets (7.16.0) ​

  • Enabling easier transition of modified user presets from Vitrea AV version 7.15.x to version 7.16.0 or later via automation during upgrades.​

DICOM transfer syntax support (7.16.0) ​

  • The DICOM SCP has been updated to support receipt of the JPEG-LS (.80) transfer-syntax. ​

Upgrade Improvements to keep the existing TLS 1.2 configuration in place during an upgrade (7.16.0) ​

1K Dataset Support (7.16.0) ​

  • Configuration details have been added to our documentation to support 1K data on an Enterprise Single Server (ESS) deployment.​

Architectural improvements (7.16.0) ​

  • Improvements to Retrieved DICOM Lifecycle Management. ​
  • The traditional manner to manage imaging data within Vitrea has been updated to a more modern framework. ​
  • New StudyTracker service replaces VSPNotificationService and provides improved reliability for data management. This modernization efforts also bring improved security.​

The new Nvidia drivers were assessed against our render benchmark testing to ensure they support our rendering engine and algorithms (7.16.0) ​

  • This resolves a number of security issues found in the Nvidia drivers.

Validation Effort for DoD on Enterprise Single Server (ESS) Deployments​

In order to comply with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, Vitrea Advanced Visualization version 7.15 Enterprise Single Server deployments have been validated with the highest security system configurations. Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) listed in the Security Assessment Plan (SAP/SSP) and each corresponding checklist containing the testimony of results against those requirements are included. ​

  • Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Server 2008 R2 are no longer supported.
  • Vitrea Extend deployments are no longer DoD ATO certified on versions 7.15.7 and later

Apache Log4j Update

In order to fully remediate the Apache Log4j issues seen across many medical and non-medical products, the Apache Log4j libraries have been updated to the latest version.

SpringShell Update

The industry wide SpringShell security vulnerability is affecting Vitrea Advanced Visualization due to a commonly used code component called Spring framework. An update has been made to Vitrea Advanced Visualization to remove the potential exploitation of the code.

Vitrea Thin Client Forward Compatibility

Vitrea thin client from version 7.15.3 will work with later versions of Vitrea such as versions 7.15.4 and 7.15.5. This is intended to shorten the time it takes to perform upgrades by not requiring a new version of the Vitrea client.

Support for Microsoft Smart Card (PIV – Personal Identity Verification) Sign-in

The Vitrea thin client now supports Microsoft Smart Card Sign-in for remote desktop sessions.
