Vitrea Connection 9.1
The Vitrea Connection 9.1 release introduces robust services to our data orchestration engine to improve supportability and increase performance and scalability.
Device Manager
Our customers have many devices that communicate with Vitrea Connection. Most sites have many modalities that will send and request information from Vitrea Connection through DICOM. Over time, the list of active modalities fluctuates in a healthcare system, so managing those modalities is critical for site administrators. We have added the ability to manage modalities easily through the Admin Console of Vitrea Connection by offering the ability to:
- Create reports about the fleet of modalities in the healthcare system through the Admin Tool.
- View the device list and device information in Device Manager based on criteria such as AE Title, Hostname, IP address, etc.
- Search for devices by querying different fields.
- Keep track of when a device last communicated with VC.
- Search for devices by querying different fields.
Manage Transfer Destination
Configuring the transfer syntax of DICOM devices allows Vitrea Connection to use the original transfer syntax in a study. The PACS Administrator can set the transfer syntax configurations to ensure the proper syntax is being negotiated and the order of syntax preference in which they are chosen.
Querying for Application Entity (AE) Title in the Event Viewer
In many instances, the Administrator may need to use the AE Titles (Called and Calling) on the event viewer page to narrow the search list and obtain the item you are searching for. This feature helps speed up the search query when there are many devices.
Data Model Refinement
Databases tend to grow over time due to the accumulation of data, and if not properly managed, this growth can lead to performance issues, increased storage costs, and operational inefficiencies. We reduced the DB size growth by 60% compared to the Vitrea Connection 9.0 baseline without impacting performance.
